tired of being tired

tired of being tired is what frog says   its a good saying around here,    didnt want to cook so three of us went to this place just a few steps away interesting sign they have out front...   they didnt let us sit at a table only the bar and no body would even give us the time of day or a look.  after i tried to get the waitress attention she wouldnt make eye contact  and kept to her self  since she took the peoples order next to us and they got served at that point we decided to go else where,  i guess i should of read between the lines.   next day i saw the waitress out front of my house which i live on top of a market, and she had a limp.  maybe karma maybe not but i thought it was funny.    the second pic is out my bedroom door,  since i have been at work every day except the day i arrived here this is the only time i have seen what out side my apartment looks like mid day. the last pic is on the hill just above the pipe i have no idea what type of trees they are  but nothing is green and there are no leaves.    yesterday getting off the gondola i saw 6 army guys getting on with sniper rifles and a generator.  i guess i better be doing a good job.

the first few days

well made it to russia,  (is it normal for the passangers on the plane to clap when you touch down on land?)  and the next day was at work.   i meet outside at 415am with the crew,  we are doing two shifts.   the first day started by detaching a winch cable from an anchor when an operator ran out of fuel with 1500 feet of cable out,   it only took 3 hours in the dark to get it off the anchor and wrapped around the blade.  good start.    second day the rental van which looks like the mystery mobile didnt start after beating on the starter it got going  and the headlight wouldnt turn on,  classic,  third day got to work and same guy who ran out of fuel double detracked his cat.   welcome to russia,  where not too many speak english, the sun rises at 9 am the drivers make puerto rico drivers look like grandma is driving the supermarket is like xmas and you wake up and check three things  is there water? what color is it? and is it going to get warm for a shower?   the pic of the night is the base of the resort at 430 am,   and here is a pic of what will be considered my russian wife,   some how i have made it along way and am now given the chance to build the pipe it seams like alot riding on me since it is a real popular show.  the general manager of rosa khutor said he has herd alot about me and my work and is happy to have me here with my skills.   rosa khutor is the resort name but the k is silent  and pronounced hooter...  funny   i now work at a resort named basically rose's hooters. WTF?   hell of a name huh.

New York amusement park 2

i cannot understand how standing has anything to do with cars but i thought it was an odd sign.
the funny thing about seing this building is in less then 6 hours on the plane to Istanbul i watched a jim carey movie and the building was in it at the beginning.  kinda odd
went to five pointz in brooklyn the largest legal graffiti in the us  its was really cool there is about 200-300 works of art.       i must say it was the first time i have ever felt energy from concrete  to me it felt like driving up the pipe after its done on the last pass out... sometimes i might be a hippie

New York amusement park

Its funny you can go into a mole hole where its quiet and come out of it in the middle of Times Square.  It seems so surreal with the height of the buildings and amount of light that is on one street. I thought the backhoe looked a little out of place since there is no dirt or snow in sight, it probably makes for easy parking though.

Enjoying the views around South County

Had some spare time so thought I would make sure the ankle I broke in whistler was up to the task of snow stomping.  A quick trip to castle lake and then a hike up to heart lake with my friend Garrett who went snowboarding.   I must admit it was the first time I have ever been to heart lake and seen three chicks ice skating.
