from the mountains to the sea

a picture of  light house in sochi
well i had to take my shoes off and tromp around in the sand and sea but kate didnt want to go that route
eating ice cream in the sea it sure was nice to see the sun
a count down clock for the start of the olympics it was funny because the other side had a different day counter my guess was one is the olympics and the other the paralympics
i never thought in a 1000 years i would be in russia at the black sea next to a girl communicating via ipad google translate.  kate told me i should be glad it wasnt a few  years ago we would be using  a dictionary.  i am sure by that point she would of given up
russian ice cream  chocolate strawberry mix with mint topping. i didnt have a ice cream craving at the time but the three girls insisted i have a russia ice cream so here it is
kickin it on the beach was so sweet in the sun watching the waves. we found our own little spot out of the wind and hung out for an hour kate built rock cone to place a square rock i found on top
and here is the cone with a square rock on it  i forgot how soft and smooth some stones can be they could make some nice pets
kate didnt want me to take a picture of her but i convinced her that she was better looking than me. it wasnt hard to do.  so here is a picture of my friend who showed me around sochi for the day which was great by the time we walked through a park, to the beach, ate food, walked through another park, went shopping,  hung out at another beach, walked around, bought flower and then watched a russia dance off in the street,  i would of never found the bus station to get back.  she made the day possible and was a pleasant experience. besides the fact we each only spoke a little bit of each others  language we still were able to have a good time and communicate well enough... with the help of her friends ipad.
